The Hobbit is almost here

Oh it warms the heart to hear Gandalf again :-) The movie will be released in December. If you haven’t already read the book then you are running out of time.

The Avengers

The Avengers is out now and is worth checking out on the big screen. The action sequences are great and it’s pretty funny too. Massive thanks to Joss Whedon the Director for making the Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) more than just the token woman. Not that I should have been surprised. If you have ever watched his TV shows you’ll know he is great at creating interesting characters. Firefly is the perfect example. If you have never watched imagine Indianna Jones in Space.

There are graphic novels available of both these movies if you want to find out more about these worlds.

The Muppets go all Hunger Games

It helps if you have already seen the proper trailer for the Hunger Games movie. If you haven’t go to the August 2011 posts.

Second Hunger Games Trailer

Another trailer for the Hunger Games movie has just been released.

I’m a little worried that some of the scenes in the Capitol could turn out a bit dodgy, so let’s hope the parts set in the actual Games are good.

Snow White smack down

Mirror Mirror Due 2012

Fairy Tales usually start off dark and scary and then Disney gets hold of them . . .

Two movies are about to come out with wildly different interpretations of the literary classic. Which do you prefer? Light or dark?
